Managers often have to make difficult decision that impact many staff members (McAlearney & Kovener, 2018). These decisions range from hiring to implementing process changes within the unit. Now imagine that you are the new unit manager and are faced with making some major decisions for the unit. The best way to approach this task is with a unit evaluation plan. Developing this plan will be the topic of this assignment.
This unit, you will prepare a unit evaluation plan to attain specific management goals and objectives.
Requirements
The submission should reflect higher-level cognitive processing (analysis, synthesis, and evaluation), which is essential for someone being prepared to serve in an operational capacity within the healthcare and related industry.
To earn the maximum number of points, the submission should reflect college-level execution with clear evidence of critical thinking, synthesis of relevant information from credible sources, and clear mastery of the concepts necessary to successfully execute each component of the assignment.
The submission should not exceed four (4) pages in length, excluding the title and reference list pages, and explicitly address all required components of this assignment.
The document must be double-spaced, adhere to the APA writing style (7th ed.), and include at least three (3) references of credible or peer-reviewed sources to support any suppositions and recommendations.

Case Study
Westchester Teaching Hospital System is not-profit organization that owns and operates six hospital campuses and a variety of off-campus ambulatory services. The organization has revenues of over $1 billion. They are affiliated with 3 medical schools with over 400 residents. You are the new manager for the ambulatory care department. You have been bought onboard to develop and implement strategies to expand the department. Here are some facts you need to know:
Inpatient services represent 65 percent of the operating revenues.
Outpatient services represent 35 percent.
Resources for the department are scarce
His department has been underfunded for a while now.
Meaningful financial and statistical data does not exist.
He has a staff of 50 people (administrative and clinical)
There has been some open hostility between the 2 groups.
The supervisors do not take direction well.
Staff don’t follow the rules (come in late, call out a lot, miss due dates, rude to patients and staff).
The ambulatory care area is outdated and not very appealing.
