The reflection paper is an opportunity for students to reflect and analyze current topics in human relations in the workplace in the light of course readings, materials, and their own experiences.
All the articles to choose from for the “Reflection Paper” are available under the Articles for Reflection Paper Folder below.
Template and Substantive Requirements: Use the bolded headings below as headings for your paper.
Your paper should contain the following:
Introduction: Give a brief overview of the paper and introduction to the article and topics listed below.
Body (Address ONE of the following – based on which article you select):
Emotional Intelligence: Review the article, “Trait Emotional Intelligence and Social Capital: The Emotionally Unintelligent may Occasionally be Better Off.” Reflect on the authors’ ideas about the relationship between social capital, interpersonal network relations, and trait emotional intelligence in the workplace. What implications do the authors’ findings have on human relations in the workplace? What significance do you see to those in Management and Human Resources in terms of employee training, professional development, and/or job satisfaction? What implications do the authors’ findings have on human relations in the workplace? What significance do you see to those in Management and Human Resources in terms of employee engagement and job satisfaction?
