HR400M3-3: Analyze candidates through the use of interview questions.
There are a variety of interview types, each serving a different purpose. In this assessment, you will develop an interview plan for an organization in which you will determine which types of interviews to use.
Address all the items in the checklist in a 3-page minimum paper based on the following scenario:
Scenario (fictional):
You are the consultant for the Top Advertising and Promotions firm (TAP) headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The firm has been in business for about 10 years and has an impressive portfolio of clients located in major cities in the United States (US), the European Union (EU), and London, England. You realize you need an interview plan with appropriate questions for each of the candidates for each of the three positions:
1) a media designer based in London, England
2) a film and video editor for Chicago, Ill. (half-year) and Paris, France (half year)
3) an advertising sales agent for Dublin, Ireland
Checklist:
Analyze the skills and abilities the candidates for the three types of jobs will need for the positions regarding the scenario company.
Categorize the interview type you suggest the organization use for each of the three position categories for which you are hiring. Explain why you are suggesting these interview types.
Analyze how you will ensure those doing the interviewing will have the appropriate interviewing skills.
Provide at least three competency questions for the core stage of the interview for each of the three positions. Analyze how the questions asked will help to hire the right candidates for the jobs.
Provide at least one question for the interview confirmation stage for each of the three positions. Analyze how the questions asked will help to hire the right candidates for the jobs.
Provide at least one question for the interview closing stage for each of the three positions. Analyze how the questions asked will help to hire the right candidates for the jobs.
